About the Vineyard

The winemaker at Viña Elena, Elena Pacheco, specializes in bringing out the finest qualities of Monastrell, the predominant red grape in the region. The fruit here comes from non-irrigated, organically grown bush vines. The wine is supposed to be drunk young and fresh because it is not aged in oak. The Monastrell grape, which is the predominant variety in the region, is found here and fulfills three essential needs. combination of climate, soil type, and grape variety. This aids in the grapes' development of their fullest flavor and color attributes, which are indicative of superior quality. The vineyards' new rainfed Monastrell plantings are situated on rocky, well-oriented plots that provide for optimal drainage and moisture conservation during infrequent rainfall (solanas slopes).

Along with some floral overtones, it smells strongly of fresh raspberries, red cherries, and strawberries. There are lots of dark, sweet, spicy fruits on the palate along with hints of spice and balsamic vinegar. It has a lot of weight, a bright, crisp finish, and a well-balanced taste.
