About the Vineyard and the wine

The culmination of the Agostino family's longstanding commitment to bold entrepreneurship and assiduous hard work is Agostino Wines. As a family and business, they are of the opinion that everything is possible with unrelenting passion and a dedication to creativity. In 2003, the family chose to establish new roots in our native town of Mendoza, Argentina, after 30 years of building a successful real estate company in Canada. With this aim, they set out to provide the highest quality Argentinian wines to aficionados throughout the world. The siblings understood the inherent potential in the property because they had grown up in the area. They finally found grapes in Mendoza's Maipu district after a protracted search.

Grapes are traditionally fermented for 7 days in steel tanks at low temperatures, with daily pumping over. Complete malolactic fermentation. Once bottled evolves in bottle for 3 months.

Tasting notes

It is a vivid red wine with ruby red hues that has fresh red fruit scents like cherries, strawberries, and blackberries along with somewhat spicy aromas like tobacco and licorice in the bouquet. The flavor is very well-balanced, and the texture and tannins are mild. The wine has a sophisticated, lingering aftertaste.

What to pair with Urban Cabernet Franc?

Urban Cabernet Franc is great to enjoy with a grilled steak, prefferably from Argentina to pair with its region of origin. It will also go very well with cold cuts such as terrines. With cheese we would recommend to go for soft blue cheese such as bleu d’Auvergne.
