Sarget de Gruaud Larose is the second label of the esteemed Grand Cru Classé Gruaud Larose, and one of the best buys in the region of Saint Julien. Classified a second growth in 1855, Gruaud Larose is a house favorite for its rich and classic style and capacity for aging. Fine and powerful on the nose, fruity (cherry and quince) notes, accompanied by a note subtle wood. On the palate it has spicy and fresh notes, the attack is soft supple and sweet. With a good length, tannins present and marked with an aromatic finish. Great to pair with pot roast or herb-crusted lamb chops.
