About the Vineyard and the wine
A pioneer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel from the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County since 1975, DeLoach Vineyards precisely craft wines that reflect this unique terroir. The gardens and the vineyard are cultivated biodynamically. Burgundy-style vinifications, open wooden vats, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and punching down magnify the ultimate expression of this elegant terroir.
 
A few selected batches of Cabernet Sauvignon were blended to develop complexity before being aged mainly in stainless steel tanks. A small portion of the wine was aged in seasoned French and American oak barrels to impart a light oak characteristic, allowing the wine to remain true to its varietal character and maintain its accessible and fruity style.
 
Tasting notes
Delightful aromas of black cherry, baked blueberry and plum waft from the glass. Stunning fruit flavors of blackberry, strawberry and raspberry are complemented by notes of cedar spice and a touch of mocha. Moderate acidity is matched by fine tannins and a lingering finish.
