About the winery and the wine

The story begins in 1946, at the foot of the Hermitage with the passion of Jean Orëns FERRATON for the vine and continues with that of his son, Michel, for the Nord-Rhodaniens terroirs.

Today, it is a passionate team, committed to respecting the natural balances essential to the production of great wines, which proudly perpetuates this heritage. Biodynamic cultivation and the practice of Parcel Selections have been the heart of this heritage for 20 years. A commitment that is an integral part of the personality of the house.


As regards the vinification, the grapes are Harvest all in one, the juice is extracted by punching down and pumping over and then undergoes a twenty-day fermentation in vast at regulated temperatures. The wine is then aged partially in oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.


Tasting notes

The robe is of an intense cherry red. Then on the nose they are aromas of small red fruits such as cassis. Finally, on the palate it is a very round wine with flavors of red fruits (cherry, raspberry).


What to pair with Ferraton Père & Fils, Crozes-Hermitage, La Matinière?

This wine will do wonders when associated with grilled steaks, roasted poultry or game birds. We recommend to enjoy it with hearty cold cuts such as our terrines.
