Finca Ferrer, Acordéon Torrontés, is a wonder from La Rioja in Argentina. It was brought to Metro Manila, Philippines for you.
Grape Variety: Torrontés
Region: Mendoza, Argentina
About the winery and the wine
Finca Ferrer is part of the Ferrer family wine group, founded by José Ferrer Sala, a member of the family behind the Spanish sparkling wine producer Freixenet. The estate was established in 2003 in the high-altitude region of Gualtallary, in Argentina’s Uco Valley, at more than 1,300 meters above sea level. The winery focuses on expressing the character of Argentina’s mountain vineyards through sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking.
The Acordéon range was created as an approachable, fruit-forward collection highlighting classic Argentine grape varieties. While Finca Ferrer’s estate vineyards are located in the Uco Valley, the Torrontés grapes for this wine come from Cafayate in Salta, one of Argentina’s most renowned regions for Torrontés due to its extreme altitude and intense sunshine.
Tasting notes
The Finca Ferrer Acordéon Torrontés displays a pale straw-yellow color with subtle green highlights. The nose is intensely aromatic, offering expressive floral notes of jasmine, orange blossom, and lavender, complemented by fresh aromas of lychee, white peach, pear, and citrus fruits. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, and vibrant, with bright acidity that balances its generous fruit character. Flavors of peach, apricot, green apple, and grapefruit unfold alongside delicate floral nuances and a touch of minerality. The finish is clean, crisp, and refreshing, leaving lingering notes of citrus zest and white flowers that invite another sip.
What to pair with Accordéon Torrontés?
This wine matches very well with seafood, fishes but also slightly flavorful asian dishes.
